MOTORCYCLE TOURISTS

The hosts at Flatheim are passionate about the motorcycle lifestyle. Over the years, we’ve embarked on numerous exciting journeys, both on single bikes and sidecar bikes. We revel in the joy of cruising through diverse landscapes, savoring the changing scents and temperatures, and the exhilarating feeling of navigating through different terrains.

The Norwegian Scenic Route Gaularfjellet

Live well in Flatheim,
and make magical road choices

Flatheim is situated along one of the country’s most scenic motorcycle routes. The Norwegian Scenic Route Gaularfjellet meanders through lush landscapes, from the fjord to the high mountains, passing through vibrant villages, alongside lakes, waterfalls, and rivers. Gaularfjellsvegen has virtually no tunnels (only a few avalanche galleries), allowing you to enjoy the landscape throughout your journey. Flatheim also serves as an excellent base for day trips or half-day hikes in the fjord and mountain landscapes of Western Norway. We have several suggestions for trips to the coast or round trips along the fjords a bit further inland.

For motorcycle tourists staying with us, we offer garage parking (subject to availability), facilities to dry clothes and equipment, and comfortable spaces for relaxation and/or socialization, as desired. You have the option to prepare your own meals or enjoy a served 3-course dinner. Breakfast is always included.
